Bollywood actor-filmmaker Ajay Devgn’s 4th directorial venture Bholaa is winning hearts of cinephiles. Billed as a high-octane action thriller, the film is the official Hindi remake of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s 2019 Tamil blockbuster Kaithi, which starred actor Karthi in the lead role.

Following the massive success of the Tamil film, the official rights for the Hindi version were acquired by Reliance Entertainment. 2 back to back promising teasers, then trailer, Bhoola created buzz as Best Bollywood Releases of 2023.

Bholaa stars actor Ajay Devgn in the lead role. His recent release Drishyam 2 is among the most successful Bollywood films of 2022, before this, the fantasy comedy-drama film Thank God, received mixed responses from the public as well as critics.

With the upcoming movie, the actor is surely expecting a massive response. The film stars one of the most versatile actresses, Tabu, opposite Devgn, and the film marks their 9th collaboration as well as the fourth directorial venture of the “Singham” actor after U, Me Aur Hum (2008), Shivaay (2016), and Runway 34 (2022)

Earlier, Dharmendra Sharma, who made “Shivaay” with Ajay, was announced as the director. However, due to unknown reasons, Ajay Devgn himself decided to direct the film.

Actress Amala Paul, who is known for her work in Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu films, will also play a key role in this action extravaganza. She gained immense popularity for her role in the 2010 Tamil film Mynaa. Her most recent release is Disney+Hotstar’s cop thriller film, Cadaver.

■Bholaa Release Date, Reviews & Box Office

Produced by Ajay Devgn FFilms, T-Series Films, Reliance Entertainment, and Dream Warrior Pictures, the film is set to be released on March 30, 2023. First look poster, motion poster, teasers to trailer with Ajay’s powerful dialogue created hype for this big release.

The film is expected to be the next big thing after Pathaan, and Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar. The advance bookings for Bholaa opened on March 19 and had sold 1200+ tickets within 2-3 hours all across the country.

Shehzada and Selfiee failed to pick the rhythm and now all the eyes will be on Ajay Devgn’s Bholaa. The actor is returning after delivering the blockbuster Drishaym 2 and carrying good buzz with himself.

The reviews from pre screening to big screens suggest that Bholaa is better Hindi remake then previous remakes but the Box office reports aren’t so positive, opening on Ram Navami was decent but day 2 collection is just shockingly low.
